Description

Henry the Hedgegnome’s Great Aunt Hogerty is staying at the zoo, but when Henry visits her to deliver some gifts, his dealings with the other animals land him in all sorts of trouble.

When we heard that Dartmoor Zoo was creating a hedgehog rescue centre called The Prickly Hedge Lodge we knew we wanted to get involved. So, Henry’s new adventure takes him to the zoo. It’s a wonderful place, and we think you’ll like it.
And there are plenty of funny new characters to meet along the way.

Hedgehogs might not be a ‘typical’ zoo animal, but Dartmoor Zoo isn’t a typical zoo. Dartmoor Zoological Society, which runs the zoo, realised that our prickly little buddies needed some help, so they created the Dartmoor Zoo Hedgehog Rescue, also known as ‘Prickly Hedge Lodge’, where they look after sick and injured hedgehogs before releasing them back into the wild.

Henry the Hedgegnome is loved by children from 2 – 102 (and probably older).

A perfect bedtime story for younger children or introduction to reading for early readers.
